Born of an Italian family, Joseph-Hector Fiocco (1703-41) spent most of his working life in Brussels and Antwerp, where he was maître de chappelle at the cathedral. These attractive pieces have been selected from his only known harpsichord works, two suites of 12 movements each, and are typical of much Baroque keyboard music in their charm and tunefulness.
