Diversity and Inclusion in Early Childhood: An Introduction

An essential book which covers diversity and inclusion through an intersectional lens. So often, discussions about inclusion seem to narrow down solely to the needs of those requiring special support. This book demonstrates that inclusion is, above all, a culture—one that we all have the power either to foster or to hinder. It gave me many ideas for my upcoming lectures on gender diversity. From now on, I will begin my lectures with Gandhi′s words: "No culture can live, if it attempts to be exclusive." I enjoyed it and found it very interesting,  especially for the breadth of topics considered. The book is structured extremely well and helpfully; questions are posed, dilemmas considered and relevant research described in an accessible and thought provoking way.
