Marcus Joubert in the shop owner of Oddities, next door to Carmela''s Memory Mine. Carmela hears a disturbance and goes in, only to find Marcus dead! In front of Carmela and the police his assistant Mavis Sweet arrives claiming that Napoleon''s Death Mask has been stolen from their shop! And then just 4 hours later reports of another stolen death mask (1 of 4 known), this time from a collector in Dallas, hits the police radios. The police suspect Joubert, but Mavis knows he is anything but a thief.
