Overview
This beautiful and thoroughly practical book will inspire parents (and guardians, grandparents, aunts and uncles) to believe that hiking with children is not only possible but also very enjoyable. The perfect motivation to get the whole family out on a fun-filled adventure!
In The 50 Best Family Hikes in Ireland, Mairéad Furlong and Fergal McLoughlin share their experiences of climbing more than 200 of Ireland’s mountains with their child (who is currently eight years old), drawing on their expertise from over twenty years of working as psychologists with families and children.
The walks cover a wide range of different landscapes, including mountains, sea cliffs, sandy coastlines, karst limestone, rivers, lakes, woodlands and boglands, and feature gems not typically included in other Irish hiking books.
This beautiful and thoroughly practical book will inspire parents (and guardians, grandparents, aunts and uncles) to believe that hiking with children is not only possible but also very enjoyable.
