Overview
The sixth book in the internationally bestselling The Lamb Who Came for Dinner series, written by the inimitable Steve Smallman (Poo in the Zoo, The Eyebrows of Doom, The Monkey with the Bright Blue Bottom) and illustrated with warmth by Joëlle Dreidemy. One day, Dizzy the armadillo lands in Hotpot's picnic with a THUMP! "Do you need a hug?" wonders Hotpot. But Dizzy is a tough armadillo, and he definitely does not need a comforting hug. Yet, when disaster strikes at the Fun Fair, the embrace of a friend could be just what this tough armadillo needs. This heartwarming story encourages readers to challenge stereotypes and look beyond the surface. In The Armadillo Who Came for Dinner we see that someone who might look tough on the outside can be soft, and more vulnerable, on the inside. Existing fans of The Lamb Who Came for Dinner series, and readers of The Lion Inside by Rachel Bright and Jim Field, Weirdo by Zadie Smith, Nick Laird, and Magenta Fox, and The Duck Who Didn't Like Water by Steve Small, will love the adorable addition of Dizzy into Hotpot's comforting woodland world.
