The Cuyes River Valley, Ecuador, located in the Northwest of South America, acts as a transition corridor between the Andean and Amazon regions. This volume attempts to determine the ethnic origin of the pre-Columbian inhabitants of the Cuyes valley through the study of ceramics excavated in 2009.

This research attempts to determine the ethnic origin of the pre-Columbian inhabitants of the Cuyes valley through the application of a method of ceramic analysis completely new in the region: the technological approach. La presente investigación busca determinar el origen étnico de los habitantes precolombinos del valle a través de la aplicación de un método de análisis cerámico inédito en la región: el enfoque tecnológico.
