The North Wales railway scene has seen many changes over the years. Both freight and passenger services have been discontinued and are gone now. Apart from a few exceptions, so are many of the traditional semaphore signals associated with the route. While the picturesque qualities of the landscape endure, major engineering works have transformed many areas.
